Reinsurance Contracts Counsel

Experis Switzerland is looking for an experienced Reinsurance Contracts Counsel. The end-client is an international reinsurance company. It is a temporary assignment based in Zürich, Münich, Hong Kong or New York with a potential extension. Please note for New York it concerns a junior position.

Duration: 24 months (an option for extension)
Your profile:
- +2 years as an attorney in the (re)insurance industry or related reinsurance experience such as contract/policy specialist or a claims handling role
- Strong knowledge of relevant law, regulations and market practices in one off the given regions.
- Understanding of P&C products and of the local (re)insurance market
- Background in the (re)insurance industry
- Degree in Law
- Communicative personality
- Excellent English skills, German is an advantage
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Produce and critique reinsurance contracts, binders, slips, endorsements and related documents to align written agreements with business intent and corporate requirements
- Advise, guide and steer various corporate functions regarding contract interpretation, application and best practices relating to routine as well as complex matters for all lines of business
- Align reinsurance contracts with applicable law, regulations and internal requirements
- Collaborate with internal partners, including Client Managers, Business Services, Claims, Technical Accounting, Actuarial, Legal, and Underwriting, in product development, negotiations and training
