Python/PySpark Data Engineer (Banking)

On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Senior Python/PySpark Data Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing data pipelines
- Daily batch run implementation
- Generating derived data feeds
- Pipeline refactoring and optimization
- Pipeline logging
- Unit, integration and regression testing
- Documentation of design, functionalities, tests
- Design and management of data models and ontologies
- Collaboration with business to generate new reports/insights
Skills:
- Over 6 years of experience working as a Data Analyst or Data Engineer
- Solid knowledge with Python with over 4 years of experience
- Experience of working with PySpark or other distributed computing tools (Cloudera, HDFS) highly beneficial
- Experience of working in the banking industry
- Experience of working in an agile environment
- Team player
- Working experience with Data Models and Database design
- Experience with Data Discovery and Data Cleaning on new data including Extract, Transform and Load (ETL)
- Excellent communication in English and stakeholder management skills
