Junior IT System Administrator
On behalf of one of our clients, a leading pharmaceutical company, we are looking for someone to support our client's manufacturing IT infrastructure team as a Junior IT System Administrator site. This is a 5- month contract located in Basel.
Applicants MUST have a valid Swiss work permit or Swiss Citizenship. Police checks will be required for submission to this position.

Tasks & Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain industrial IT components.
- provide day to day on-call support for our customers
- Install and maintain the required infrastructure (virtual machines, physical server, clients)
- 1st and 2nd Level Support for industrial informatics systems
- Support for projects
- Once onboard on-call support (Pikett)
- Close collaboration with internal and external partners like Business, Informatics, Process Automation and Suppliers
Must Haves
- 2-3 years of experience in Process Automation and Automation Infrastructure in a similar environment
- Strong technical skills in different operating systems (Windows 7/Windows 10)
- Experience with VMWare/Citrix/VDI
- Previous experience in system installation and maintenance of operation systems, hardware and peripheral devices eg bar code scanner, printer etc.
- Experience in specifying, configuration, testing and documenting of systems and applications
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- German-speaking (is mandatory)
- Degree in Informatics or Engineering
- Good technical understanding with good networked thinking
- Good communication skills
- Business fluency in English (written and spoken)

- Experience in Pharma production or IT environment (GxP, CSV)
