Medical Scientific Liaison Manager Inflammation (field based 100%) (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
  • The main purpose of this role is to maximize the value propositions through medical and scientific projects, services and expertise for benefit of patients (according to Corporate and European strategies)
  • Coordinate the implementation of medical affairs (MA) programs in local territories with Sales Representative and Development Field Operations Representatives as well as to support Medical Advisor in developing local territory MA tactics of a therapeutic area or product
  • Implement and execute MA plan in the field, provide scientific communication and medical information on request and proactively where appropriate as well as medical insights for medical and brand plan
  • Additional responsibilities include: Opinion Leader (OL) Engagement and Data Discussions
  • Identify, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with current and future Opinion Leaders, Brand Advocates, cooperative groups and key external audiences
  • Develop and implement local OL Plans, with local brand team and in agreement with MA plan
  • Work with Sales Representatives to ensure prioritization of engagement with key OLs
  • Ensure medical/legal excellence and compliance
  • Study Support / Evidence Generation
  • Identify new research/study opportunities in collaboration with Medical Advisor
  • Work with Development Field Operations Representatives to ensure prioritization of study site selection Market Insights, Access & Value
  • Gather insights on competitive intelligence, patient journey and reports OL feedback
  • Develop required qualitative and quantitative insights reports; collates competitor information Internal and External (HCP) Support
  • Ensure timely response to medical inquiries
  • Implement and disseminate high quality medical and scientific educational programs; gives clinical and scientific presentations at sites/cooperative groups/hospital formularies
  • Deliver targeted internal trainings
  • Cooperate with other MSLs in Medical Team on joint projects


Main qualifications
  • Medical or scientific education or experience from similar positions
  • Advanced degree (e.g. PhD, MD) preferred or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training
  • Experience in industry, or a related scientific field in academia
  • Medical / scientific research experience
  • Willingness to travel within the whole of Switzerland
  • Excellent project management and presentation skills
  • Language skills – German (“near” native), French and English (business level)
  • Scientific expertise in dermatology/rheumatology/immunology and related products, disease states, and interested in latest discoveries
  • Experience in affiliate Medical Department or Clinical Development
  • Experience with clinical study management and conduct
  • Knowledge on clinical outcomes and value messages
  • Understanding of the Swiss health care system and decision-making processes
  • Knowledge of commercialization and business practices
  • Good knowledge of clinical research, drug safety, legal and compliance environment
  • Willingness to continuously expand medical, scientific, market, and industry knowledge
