COVAX Facility Design and Coordination Senior Manager (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- Support the coordination of the overall work of the COVAX Facility across relevant teams including Vaccine Supply and Demand, Immunisation Financing & Sustainability, Public Policy Engagement, Resource Mobilisation & Innovative Financing, Country Support, Communications, and Legal
- Lead project management for workstreams on design & implementation and develop and maintain overall strategic and operational plans
- Lead and/or manage specific design and policy/strategy setting activities, including analyses (quantitative, qualitative), options assessment and recommendation setting in collaboration with other Secretariat teams
- Oversee the planning and execution of consultations and engagement with key stakeholder groups to inform the development and operationalisation of the Facility (e.g., technical partners, CSOs, country governments, industry, financing institutions, etc.)
- Lead internal Secretariat meeting preparation, facilitation and follow-up (daily/weekly team-wide updates, regular brainstorming sessions, workstream-specific meetings, senior management updates)
- Lead drafting of key documents (e.g., presentations, technical design document, proposals, briefing notes, Q&A) for internal and external meetings (e.g., project team meetings, consultations, advisory committee meetings, governance body meetings, multilateral advocacy meetings)
- Contribute to improving operations and efficiency of the central coordination and broader COVAX Facility teams including adopting of project management best practices and facilitating change management
- The work is fast paced and dynamic. The scope of responsibilities may evolve. Other duties may be assigned consistently with the department needs
Main qualifications
- Master's degrees in public health, health/development policy, business or other relevant field
- Progressive experience working in development, global health, healthcare or management consulting
- Experience managing complex projects with diverse multisector stakeholders from strategy to implementation;
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis methods
- A self-starter with exceptional planning and project management skills, and with a pro-active work attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from a wide range of disciplines, backgrounds, and cultures
- Effective relationship-building skills both within and outside the organisation; ability to drive consensus among diverse stakeholders with tact and discretion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; a logical thinker with intellectual curiosity and the ability to think strategically and interpret/synthesize large amounts of information
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
- A team player, collaborative, organized, detail-oriented
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Teams)
