Data Engineer 100%_Python/Data Engineering/Big DataProject:
For our client based in Zurich we are looking Data Engineer with 100% workload and this project is for 6 months with possible extension.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Technical data engineer for Data & Analytics platform based on Kubernetes and Hadoop
* Involved in Design and Implementation of data architecture relevant topics across the common part of the data platform
* Determines structural requirements and architecture for structural changes
* Implementation of the requirements and Data & Analytics platform
* Strive to identify re-use potential across different data platform consumers
* Key resource for data onboarding & implementation tasks incl. testing of newly sourced data sets
Must Haves
* Working experience in Python, Spark and Jupyter Notebook
* 5-10 years' experience with Data Architecture / Data Engineering
* Hands-on Big Data experience using known tech stacks
* Reporting experience (e.g Tableau, Power BI)
* Able to communicate with Senior Management level
* Great Stakeholders Management
* Open Communicator, proactive and team player
Nice to Have:
* Knowledge of Kafka Streaming in applied projects
* Experience with Job Orchestrators like NiFi / AirFlow Solid Agile experience in Data related projects
Education:
* Higher education (e.g. "Fachhochschule","Wirtschaftsinformatik")
* Big Data related technological stack
* Cloudera / Google Cloud Platform / MS Azure / Hortonworks would be plus
Languages:
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Good German is Preferable
