My client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Data Engineer on an initial 6 month contract.
This role is fully remote until 01/10/20 at which point you will be based on site in Sant Cugat.
You will be required to:
*Ensure that operational work, project related activities and on-call services are performed according to defined KPIs.
*Provide application management and support and ensure operational stability and effectiveness of several Applications
*Contribute to the core business and informatics processes and solutions by applying specific knowledge of systems and tools, as well as problem solving skills, to support these processes and solutions
*Collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery
*Resolve or escalate problems for resolution when appropriate
*Maintain and develop process and technical knowledge
Key Skills Required:
*Experience developing end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions, Datamodelling, ETL and reporting
*2+ years relevant experience object-oriented programming
*Experience in SQL, Relational, MPP and NoSQL databases
*Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and Decision Support Systems
*Experience in data handling, ETL, etc. using databases in business environments
*Experience in AWS cloud environment
*Experience in Tableau, Qlik or PowerBI tools.
*Experience in project management
*Experience managing with globally distributed teams and 3rd party relationships
*Proficient in Linux environments and system administration
*Independent judgment and decision-making ability
*Good communication skills and excellent team collaboration
*Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
For this role I am able to offer a daily rate of up to 300EUR.
