.Net C# Developer, initial 6 Month Contract, Finance, Zurich

We are looking for an experienced .NET C# Developer for one of the leading Swiss Banks in Zurich. Their Global Markets Technology provides innovative, robust and commercially differentiating front-to-back technology solutions to the Global Markets division, in support of delivering a high performing, transparent, and fully integrated markets franchise to the clients.

This exciting role is perfect for someone who seeks a challenge working on a QuantDevOps Platform in order to use it for development, testing, and delivery of software components.

What the role offers:

  • Shaping and taking end-to-end ownership of a new strategic application space within the Platform landscape
  • Pushing technological boundaries of the Platform striving to offer easy to use highly scalable low-latency server-less computing paradigm
  • Diverse and modern tech stack packed in a modern microservices architecture

Your responsibilities:

  • Taking end-to-end DevOps ownership of selected components of the platform (tech stack, services, integrations), that the bank requires to build and operate as per strategic ask of the Front-To-Back Programme.
  • Liaising with Business-side and IT-side stakeholders in order to agree on requirements, priorities, and roadmaps of deliveries
  • Design and development of highly scalable, distributed, low latency, resilient services/applications hosted on the Platform.
  • L3 production support in the area of technical DevOps ownership.

Essential Skills you must have:

  • 7+ years of experience working as a .NET C# Developer
  • DevOps experience
  • Knowledge of Task Parallel Library (TPL) and Asynchronous programming
  • Working knowledge of HTTP, Sockets programming, MS SQL
  • Experience with multi-threading, micro-services, web services, server-less computing, grid/distributed computing object-oriented design and dev, design patterns, dependency injection
  • Used to work in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban) using test driven development
  • Windows Server 2016+
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Git/Subversion, Teamcity, test automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery/deployment
  • Excellent analytics and problem solving skills
  • Active communicator with practical solution-oriented mindset able to liaise with both Business-side and IT-side stakeholders

Additional desirable skills:

  • Modern Web GUI technology stack including HTML5, JavaScript, ReactJS
  • Linux and Kubernetes
