Test Automation Engineer - Corporate Actions Processing - REST/SOAP/SEPA/SIC/JUNIT
Project/Role:
The role, based in Zurich, requires an experienced Automation Test Engineer with knowledge of today's trading platforms and a vision of how to implement tomorrows technology. Our client requires a solid background in Java, and is willing to train suitable candidates in the area of Kotlin/Blockchain DLT. Knowledge of Corporate Actions Processing, as well as the other tools mentioned below.You will work with the development teams to carry out in-sprint testing activities. The position holder will also define, create and maintain the test data needed for testing.
Main Tasks:
- Design Test Scenarios using Gherkin and get them validated with the PO/BA
- Automate the test scenarios designed at the appropriate level:
API or UI. Design should be highly flexible, re-usable, and modular.
- Detect bugs and see through to successful closure
- Co-ordinate with other test engineer(s) to identify, automate, and maintain E2E scenarios
- Support the Product Owner/Business Analysts during User Acceptance Testing phase
Skills/Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of test automation experience
- Solid hands on exposure on automating REST, SOAP Webservices. GQL will be an added advantage
- Experienced in UI automation using Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid
- Experienced in Junit using Java. Kotlin would be advantageous
- Hands on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift would be highly appreciated
- Domain experience on Corporate Actions Processing.
- Know-how of payment messages - SEPA and SIC is a definite advantage.
- Excellent Team player experienced in Agile mode of working

Education:
- At least a bachelor's degree in CS or similar field
Language:
- Excellent Communication Skills in English. German a plus
