Big Data Administrator vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the banking sector.Your experience/skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, related discipline or equivalent experience
- Several years of experience with Automated Deployment tools like Ansible or Puppet
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a Hadoop Administration and/or Support role, ideally, within banking or finance environment
- Familiarity with specific characteristics of the Hortonworks / Cloudera Stack is a must
- Experience with IBM Whatson Studio Local, Apache Knox & Ranger
- Good abstraction and conceptual skills combined with a self-reliant, team-minded, communicative, proactive personality
- Being interested in working in a fast-paced international environment as part of an international team
- Languages: English - fluent both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Administrating the Big Data platform based on IBM Power Systems
- Engineering and operating of the platform from a technology point of view, controlling and monitoring the platform performance and capacity
- Implementing core Big Data platform capabilities and ensuring Big Data platform's availability
- Maintaining and continually improving Project Infrastructure
- Working in collaboration with Big Data Engineering and DevOps Teams
