Project/Role:We are searching for an Avaloq Developer in the area Finance / Accounting for our Application Management team in Zurich. Our team is works hand-in-hand with our colleagues in Financial Control to ensure transactions in Avaloq are correctly booked, and accurately reflected on the Balance Sheet and Income Statement of the bank. Additionally we are closely involved in core Finance processes in Avaloq such as month-end period closure, interest and fee accruals, and external audits.
The focus of this role will be on:
- Avaloq rule engine parameterization (Booking / Balancing / Balstru / Position)
- Change-the-Bank (CtB) and Run-the-Bank (RtB) responsibility, typically in 6-month rotations
- Business analysis for Finance / Accounting elements of projects
Your Main Tasks:
- Business analysis, specification, implementation of changes in Avaloq as part of project implementations
- Consulting and training of colleagues in Financial Control
- 3rd level support in Avaloq for Finance / Accounting topics
- Technical testing activities during release cycles, test support
- Build and support interfaces to downstream systems
You have the following skills and experiences:
- University degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics or similar
- Avaloq certification is a must
- Experience with Avaloq rule engine parameterization & Avaloq report writing / scripting
- Experience in Finance / Accounting is a big plus
- Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- Excellent analytical / problem solving skills - you quickly understand the root cause of issues
- You rigorously document your work and work independently
- You are business fluent in English
- You have experience working in an international team and are an effective communicator
