My Client is a Global Bank. As they are currently expanding, they are seeking a Java Software Engineer for an initial 9 months with a strong likelihood for extension to be based at their Zurich site.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Solution design, prototyping and implementation of the investments focused digital platforms
- Development of software changes in various areas (including Avaloq parametrisation)
- Challenge technical requirements and design of effective digital based solutions
- Technical testing activities during release cycles
- Enable collaboration with internal resources (business stakeholders, change management, developers) and where necessary
The successful incumbent will possess:
- Hands-on experience in Java, core Spring or Spring Boot, Restful APIs, web services and micro-services
- University degree or equivalent in engineering, preferably in computer science
- 3+ years of software development experience in Java or similar technology
- Software development experience with Avaloq Banking suite
- General software programming experience
- Domain knowledge of the Financial Industry and investment in particular
- A solid understanding of modern Front End development platforms
If the candidate possesses good understanding of Avaloq Core Banking Platform or AMI Web Services customisation/Avaloq Object Model or knowledge of Avaloq transactional meta types/Oracle databases and PL/SQL this would be highly advantageous.
