Global Medical / Scientific Director (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- This position is a very operational role. Main responsibilities includes slide desk preparation, advisory boards, material development and PDMA trials oversee. There will be very little or no strategic aspect to this position and no line management responsibilities. Please do not send candidates with extensive leadership position (or if you do, please make sure they fully understand the role is operational, not strategic). The contractor will be part of the Lung Cancer team alongside 10 other people all working on the same brand.
- Holds a Medical Degree or a PhD. The role will be on both MA responsibilities and PDMA (Product Development Medical Affairs) trial oversee. That is why a Medical Doctor with experience in clinical operations/medical monitoring and Medical Affairs experience is ideal. Either candidates with an MD degree and experience in clinical operations (specifically medical monitoring). Or candidates with MD or PhD and experience with MA in a global pharma. Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Support the Lung Cancer team on
- Slide desk
- Advisory boards
- Developing materials
- Oversee PDMA trials (that is why the MD degree is needed)
- Contributes to establishing and implementing appropriate policies and standards for all activities of the medical plan for the therapeutic area (e.g. studies, publications, registries, KOL partnership).
- Works with Lifecycle Leaders to synergize medical plans across Lifecycle Teams of the same therapeutic area
Main qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in either Medical Affairs or Clinical Trial management (medical monitoring part)
- Degree in Life Sciences either MD or PhD (has to be MD for the clinical experience to count)
- Must have experience with Oncology
- Experience working in a global matrix environment
- Team player, flexible and open to adapt to workload demand
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Experience with lung cancer
