Virtualization Operations Engineer 100% (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- Support a team on projects related to infrastructure renewal (storage, virtualization and cloud topics)
- System Engineering with focus on VMware virtualization
- Project based tasks during system migrations
- 2nd and 3rd level troubleshooting of technical issues in cooperation with other teams
Main qualifications
- University degree in IT or related field
- Pexperience building, maintaining and operating resilient virtualization platforms based on VMware technology
- Experience with (hyper-)converged infrastructure and software defined network and storage technologies
- Knowledge of Cloud based technologies including experience with Azure and/or AWS is an advantage
- Ability to follow ITIL-based change management procedures and processes
- Ability to provide third-level support and design input in an enterprise environment
- Readiness to work outside normal working hours during service windows and to provide on-call cover for evenings and weekend
- Fluent in English
