As a solution architect in the PDIX Architecture & Emerging Technologies chapter, you’ll design, evaluate and deliver solutions by using architectural design principles to translate Roche’s business strategy into fit-for-purpose solutions.What you’ll be working on ? Designs and delivers solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards and advance the architecture toward the target state. ? Performs the leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks required to ensure that information systems are designed and evolve appropriately. ? Works with our business groups to understand their business processes and information needs and works with other members of our informatics organization to identify and design solution options that support the business needs. ? Creates and maintains a solution lifecycle roadmap based on gap analysis for transitioning from current to future-state, including the technology lifecycle management. Is aware and actively applies business & enterprise technology roadmaps during the design of new IT solutions. ? Prepares and presents project documentation for the architecture review board. ? Documents and maintains the solution as-is IT landscape in the Enterprise Architecture Management Tool. ? Oversees or consults on technical architecture implementation activities, particularly for new and/or shared solutions. ? Collaborates with the broader architecture community to ensure that the solutions align with target architectures and technology roadmaps.
The ideal candidate ? Is recognized as an expert for the following domain (Data Integration, Business Intelligence, ? Exhibits a Lean-Agile mindset, i.e.: ? Good enough instead of perfection ? Focus on “Reuse before Buy before Make” when providing direction on future solutions. The best solution may not need significant software development. ? Actively seeks for existing reusable building blocks that will shorten the design and increase the speed of delivery. ? Has strong passion to bring value-adding technology to the business.
? Exhibits strong soft skills typically required as an Architect (i.e.: presentation and public speaking, negotiation, challenging the status quo, explaining complex matters in a simple way) ? Has strong expertise in one or many of the following technologies ? Marklogic ? Teradata/Snowflake/Redshift or other RDBMS ? AWS cloud solutions ? Mulesoft ? PEGA ? Informatica MDM, IPC, DQ ? Java ? R ? Python ? Has expertise with the following industry vertical solution ? Veeva suite ? Documentum ? Oracle Siebel ? ARIS Suite ? Has strong business knowledge in one of the ?
