For a project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced
Senior Test Manager - Java 8 / Layered Applications
In this role, as an experienced Test Manager, you will work with IT developers and Project Stakeholders to make sure that all aspects of the project deliverables are fully tested and you will take full responsibility for the quality of the product you roll out in production.
Your Qualifications:
- Many years of experience as Test Manager / Test Engineer with a focus on testing multi-layered applications in cross-functional teams
- Experience in test automation such as regression and acceptance tests
- Proven track record as test automation SME with excellent communication skills on all levels
- Hands-on enterprise, multi-tier applications in particular web services, client-server and server-side application programming that also include data management aspects in Java 8 or above (Core Java)
- Familiar with agile methodologies with all phases of the software/system lifecycle process
- Knowledge of both automated and manual testing as well as previous test management experience including proven supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge in QA and testing industry with experience of coordinating people to complete tasks
- Familiar with service discovery engines such as Consul, Spring Cloud or custom solutions
- Writing and automating skills in Behaviour-Driven Developments (BDDs) like Cucumber as well as a good understanding of object-oriented programming and knowledge of Spring frameworks such as Core, Boot, and Caching
- Fluent in English
Your Responsibilities:
- UAT release management, coordinating releases of different versions of risk services and making sure that tests are executed on correct as-of go live versions
- Define business test cases and ensure test coverage for all changes on Jira task level
- Coordinate UAT with all involved stakeholders and assure that sign offs are obtained on time for rollout in production
- Define benchmark input and output for regression test automation
- Ensure automated tests are maintained and enhanced with additional functionality
- Working with the environment management teams and maintain proper versioning across components on UAT environment
