For a project at our clients site, based in Zurich we are looking for an experienced
Database Engineer - MS SQL Server (60-80%)
Your Qualifications:
- Several years of experience as a database engineer with extensive know-how in software and system architecture, ideally in an international company
- Profound knowledge of MS SQL Server (2016) and Windows Server (2016)
- Experienced with programming languages like T-SQL and PowerShell
- Extensive experience with SQL AlwaysOn and Availability Groups on Windows Failover Clusters
- Knowledge of SQLIOSim and PerfMon is an advantage
- Knowledge in the definition and creation of baselines is desirable
- Experience in the specification of test case groups (outside, inside, SQL Server, workload pattern, etc.) and the criteria for ensuring the idempotency of test cases are a plus
- Fluent in English, German is an advantage
Your Responsibilities:
- Support and optimization (availability, performance) of existing database environments
- Defining the database architectures & extending the structures based on data models
- Cooperation in the conception of highly available SQL environments
- Specification of test cases and documentation of test results
