Operations Engineer for Application Platform (Java/Web Infrastructure)
Project/Main Task:
For our customer from the banking sector, we are looking for an Operations Engineer for Application Platform.
Main Tasks:
As a member of the Linux Application Platform Operation Team, you are responsible for running of the central Application Platform (Java EE and Web infrastructure).
-You answer inquiries and resolve incidents.
-Monitor application platforms and related systems
-You commission infrastructure components such as Web & Application Servers,
-API Gateway, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Load Balancers and Certificates in
-Production and non-production environments
-You perform maintenance work on application platforms and Servers
-You standardize and automate activities
-You deploy business applications
-You will work in engineering and business/integration projects with
-You will work with Taskforces in the event of major disruptions
Requirements:
-Several years of experience in operation and further development of web application platforms
-Good developer knowledge in Java and Python
-Good knowledge of automated CI/CD pipelines and their tools
-Sound knowledge of
-Linux/RHEL, Shell Scripting, Ansible, Git, Web- & Application Server (predominantly Java EE and SE)
-Network, DNS, Loadbalancer, TLS, HTTP
-Operation and integration of applications
-Experience in the following areas is an advantage:
-API Gateway, WAF, Docker and Kubernetes
-In methods of software development and as a software developer
-A quick grasp
-Analytical and Conceptual Thinking
-Independent and precise working method
-Readiness for stand-by and working outside normal working hours (evening, weekend)
-Very high-quality awareness
-Strong, team/customer oriented and communicative personality
Education:
-Computer science education such as FH or TS
Languages:
-English- Very Good Knowledge
-German- Business Fluent
