Senior Quantitative Python Developer
We are looking for a skilled Senior Quantitative Python Developer to join our IT Development Risk Modelling team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining application components in the actuarial risk modelling landscape.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Developing, enhancing and maintaining and supporting existing actuarial/risk modelling applications written in Python/PySpark.
Interacting with an analytical oriented user groups for requirements gathering
Interact with IT professionals that support you in your analytical tool development
Required Education/Training and Experience
High proficiency in Python and knowledge of the Python ecosystem
Experience with big data (Hadoop) and Apache Spark/PySpark is a big plus
Experience with Linux using bash and exposure to Artifactory and Docker is a plus
At least five years relevant business experience in an international insurance/financial sector with exposure to Pricing or Risk Modelling or Actuarial tools development.
Solid Object-Oriented and Functional Programming skills with good understanding of design patterns and principles
Experience in agile software development and practices (TDD, Pair Programming, Refactoring,…)
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others in an international and global team
Very good knowledge of English required.
