Business Analyst - Accounting / IFRS / US GAAP - vacancy for our Zurich based client in the financial sector.Your experience/skills:
- Several years of experience in accounting with expert knowledge of accounting standards including IFRS, US GAAP, Statutory and Local Accounting
- Familiarity with finance and finance IT environments preferably with experience in system implementation and change testing
- Know-how of finance transformation, tools and processes is advantageous
- Strong analytical and communication skills coupled with conceptual thinking
- Ability to work independently and to perform a variety of tasks in a fast moving project environment along with advanced MS Office skills including Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint
- University degree in finance or accounting ideally with an accounting certification such as CPA
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Mapping legacy accounts to new chart of accounts as well as identifying and closing gaps
- Gathering additional local accounting and reporting requirements missing in the current implementation or masterdata and closing gaps
- Providing the business with trial balances and supporting reconciliations to legacy trial balances along with facilitating the local review processes
- Supporting migration and migration reconciliation teams with your finance and accounting expertise
- Enhancing the posting drivers as well as the current FX customisation for additional local requirements
- Supporting IFRS 17 implementation into the platform as well as the documentation of posting drivers, account structure and FX customisation
- Acting as 2nd level support for IFRS 17 related user requests as well as performing systems rollout testing, examining issues and coordinating resolution with SMEs
