Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- As Senior Accountant your responsibilities include: posting transactions, performing month end tasks, performing analysis and reporting, supporting external and internal audits, and participating on ad-hoc projects
- Take care of monthly financial closing according to group accounting principles and local statutory GAAP
- Responsible for the annual preparation of the external financial statements (Balance sheet and Income statement) according to Swiss GAAP
- Ensure proper reconciliation of balance sheets
- Maintain internal control environment
- Liaise with other accounting teams as well as consolidation department
- Processing of Accounts Payable receiving, entering, and storing of invoices
- Preparing monthly Intercompany transaction journals
- Serve as a back-up for other team members
- Ensure compliance with internal controls in financial processes
- Cooperation with and contact for internal and external auditors
Main qualifications
- Knowledge of US GAAP/ IFRS/ Swiss GAAP
- Degree with Accounting/ Financial scope such as Univserity Degree (BBA, MBA, Master) or "Eidg. Fachausweis im Finanz- und Rechnungswesen", HFW or similar
- Chartered Accountant/ CPA/ Country Equivalent – or working towards ceritifcation is a plus
- Fluency in English and German required
- Experienced user of Excel and Accounting ERPs
- Knowledge of Hyperion or similar reporting tools experience is a plus
- Pharma (bioscience) industry experience would be an advantage
