For our Client from the banking industry, we are looking for a Senior Requirements Engineer.
Location: Zurich
Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Key Responsibilities
- Work with bank-wide feeder applications, IT and Business architects, SUB- and Regulatory Strategy and Business Change projects
- In this unique and meaningful role you will support the business in its duties through IT support and document it to provide a common understanding between the client who use the application and the IT people who built, test and maintain it now and in the future
- You will have the responsibility to understand business drivers and what needs to be delivered from a business point of view (input from Product Owner (PO), Business Analysts (BA) and Subject Matter Experts (SME)
- In this role you have the chance to develop, handle, estimate dimensions and consolidate information on the requirements of the project's customers, products and product components according to the requirements engineering process
- Identifying synergies, redundancies and inconsistencies between the requirements and the project plans, work products, project goals and the overall context in application and technical architecture will be your responsibility
- You will additionally have the opportunity to support the testing phase by giving input, review test strategy and test cases and execute test cases
- You will model and document requirements understandable for business representatives, identify impact changes on existing requirements and provide input to the Project Management, stream lead and Product Owner for prioritizing
- As a member of our diverse and forward-thinking team you will maintain traceability between business requests and IT requirements
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree or similar education preferably in information technology or information management
- Requirements engineering experiences on IT side within financial institutions of > 4 years
- Well experienced in eliciting requirements from business subject matter experts and writing business rules and interface specifications for the developers
- Solid theoretical understanding and practical experience of use case modelling in IT projects
- Understands software development processes
- IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering or a similar certificate
- Well banking knowhow about tax, namely about US Withholding Tax (FATCA, Qualified Intermediary)
- SCRUM project experience
- experience in test design and manual test execution
