Your role
Do you like to work in a team responsible for building and migrating our database infrastructure for a large critical project? Are you a customer-focused team player, who would like to become part of a motivated team?
Our migration project will focus on setting and delivery responsibility for the migration of a large number of databases, migration services for CH – Switzerland, we will concentrate on +1000 WMPC migrations in .
We are looking for someone who can helpl us in:
Support and execute infrastructure driven application migrations from our legacy offerings (legacy to strategic network, DBaaS, IaaS, PaaS). Key responsibilities will include managing database migrations for complex and large scale migrations with the project team, L2 resources and ultimately application owners, managing risks and issues and managing small project plans, supporting the migration weekends. Candidate will have a strong Oracle Database migrations experience.
– Managing complex database migrations
– Able to work unsupervised
– Propose, implement systems and support enhancements and process improvements
– Constantly improve business value as well as user experience of the applications
– Work closely with the project team to identify migration strategies
– Majority of PROD related migration work, DRY RUN, DR TEST, LIVE MIGRATION will be happening on Weekends
Your team
You’ll be working in the Operations support team dedicated to a database migration function in Zurich. The role aims to support application related databases in scope for the migrations or required to support the migrations.
Your experience and skills
You will have extensive knowledge of:
– Oracle RDBMS 10g – 11g, 12c
– Oracle Dataguard
– Oracle RMAN
– Oracle RAC
– Oracle OEM
– Knowledge of Service now tool is added advantage
– Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
