Senior Data Scientist required to join a leading global brand and participate in the delivery of their Cloud AWS Migration. Excellent rates offered and remote working. 3/4 days per week working from the clients global HQ in Switzerland.
The assignment presents an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience of AWS Cloud related solutions.
Senior Data Scientist key deliverables;
- Take ownership of delivering robust data solutions by leading a team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers
- Apply Datamodelling and analytical pipeline to large data set
- Manage e2e life cycle for advanced data Science products Prove Business impact by leading scalable data initiatives across different domains, engaging different stakeholders and teams to increase efficiency and productivity
- Create and own the right set of metrics and audit mechanisms to track the performance of such initiatives
- Deal with ambiguity, conduct deep dive analyses on business problems, and formulate conclusions
- Develop models, providing leadership for Data Science domain, support other data Scientist
- Analytics Tracks: Marketing, Demand forecast, Consumer Lifecycle management, Pricing & Stock optimization, Channel Performances
Senior Data Scientist experience required;
- 5-7 years of proven experience in Data science initiatives in Retail, FMCG, Fashion or E-commerce industry with proven knowledge of bringing to live analytical solutions
- Good knowledge of data structures and technologies (relational DB, file formats, NoSQL DB, etc.)related to Big Data and Cloud computing (Hadoop, Map Reduce, Spark)
- Ability to master few of the following languages: Python, Java, Scala, R, Matlab, Octave, as well as advanced SQL knowledge
- MSc or PhD in quantitative or scientific discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics or strongly related subjects)
- Experience in managing Data Science team
- Clear concise communication in English
- Prior experience working with cloud based solutions such as AWS, Azure, GCP would be advantageous
