Strategic Purchaser vacancy requiring profound Corporate Services knowledge for our Zurich based client in the manufacturing sector.Your experience/skills:
- 5+ years professional practice in strategic procurement
- Familiarity with material groups Marketing, professional services, legal, finance and travel
- Capability to adapt to new areas and stakeholders quickly
- Analytical, conceptual and entrepreneurial mindset coupled with profound communication skills compatible with all levels of hierarchy
- University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Logistics Management, Engineering, Natural Sciences or other related field of study
- Languages: fluent English and German both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Acting as a single point of contact for marketing, professional services, legal, finance and travel departments as well as representing operational procurement if necessary
- Leading and supporting the sourcing processes by carrying out demand capturing, market screening, RfX drafting as well as supplier evaluation, selection, negotiations and contracting
- Providing options for the sourcing strategy as well as identifying value-add opportunities by analysing historical as well as forecast data
- Recognising opportunities for cost reduction along demand, specification and commercial levers while compiling and leading project teams to run cross-functional as well as divisional cost reduction projects in your categories
- Implementing improvement plans and managing selected suppliers as well as internal stakeholders
- Being responsible for the internal consulting spend approval process
