Quality Manager
Job description:
• Drive continuous improvement of the quality system to meet and sustain compliance with
internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Conduct Quality Reviews to evaluate if processes and deliverables fulfil the requirements
for quality, to uncover errors or deficiencies in processes and deliverables, and to identify
strengths and opportunities for improvement.
• Follow up resolution of identified quality exposures and escalation to line management if
critical situations are not resolved in due course.
• Drive shifting of emphasis from "final inspections" to "in-process reviews and controls".
• Contribute to business decisions in the definition and assessment of IT requirements.
• Support the development and delivery of training in quality matters.
• Drive and facilitate the creation of relevant SOPs.
• Interface with business and IT partners to ensure the Client’s practices are aligned with
regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
• Prepare and follow internal authority inspections.
• Prepare, or review and approve major system documentation to ensure consistency with
quality standards and quality of deliverables.
• Coordinates documentation, testing, and change management activities to ensure
compliance with business and regulatory needs.
• Partnering with Quality Assurance departments in order to align quality related processes
and to achieve common agreement on standards.
• Has major to overall responsibility and accountability for quality solutions in projects and
services. Coaches less experienced Quality Managers.
• Delivers quality solutions for projects and services having a medium to large impact across
the 6 change dimensions (process, organization, location, data, application, technology),
globally and across business domains. Gives technical advice to Quality Managers to help
them solve problems
• Influence Quality Mgt practices across business domains; may work at Enterprise Level.
Process driven and continuously striving for process improvement in the quality area. Set
Quality standards.
• Capable of leading small global teams, managing indirectly. Ability to mediate quality
related conflicts. Understanding and assessment of expert discussions in a team setting.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully interface with all levels of management and customers
or suppliers to assure a consistent supply of quality products and services.
Required skills:
• At least 5 – 8 years of experience in Quality, preferably with broad industry experience
• Excellent understanding of complex quality landscapes and relationships (Quality Systems,
Policies, IT QM) and Project and Quality Management methodologies (eg Crystal, SDLC),
reviews and training
• Excellent English, German is a plus
• Experience with quality standards and regulations in the pharmaceutical industry is
beneficial

as soon as possible, should not be later than January 2011
End Date:
open - it is supposed to a try and hire with a option of a fulltime postion (after 3 month)
