Development Engineer Oximetry: Optical/photometry/Matlab/Python/R/German
Role Purpose:
For our customer, a renowned medical domain client in Luzern central Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced Development Engineer Oximetry for a contract initially for 10 months with strong possibility of extension.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Responsible to evaluate different options of unit hardware and firmware architecture, as well as solutions from external partners
- Responsible to develop and optimize calibration/measurement concepts/algorithms.
- Test and assess the robustness of concepts/algorithms.
- Responsible to develop and optimize the data acquisition and signal interpretation
- Implement algorithms in a controlled development process
- Plan and establish test workflows and control
- Lead and drive the progress of work packages and analyze and deliver the results
- Continuous optimize systems performance and robustness.
- Closely collaborate with all our interdisciplinary teams to improve system design and performance
Must Have Skills:
- Must have solid experience in hardware, firmware and optical measurement system development, test and analysis.
- Experience in design of experiments
- Must have strong ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment with interfaces to other R&D teams and production, customer support, business area, etc.
- Good experience working in several disciplines: hardware, software, fluidics, testing, reagent development.
- Strong skills in data analytics, familiar with one or several data analytic tools (eg Matlab, Python, R)
- Good programming skills and automatizing analysis.
Nice to Have:
- Good knowledge/experience in photometry related topics
- God experience working with medical/pharma environment
Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in any technical specialisation or relevant experience.
Languages:
- Fluent in German (Nice to Have)
- Fluent in English
