Michael Bailey is happy to present a role for role for a Data Scientist based in Zug, Switzerland, on an initial 6 month contract for a leading pharmaceutical company. Good rate of payfor the role.
For this role we are selecting a consultant who can support the analysis of commercial data for demand planning (DM) activities in the pharmaceutical supply chain organization.
Based on sales forecasts, the activity consists of applying machine learning principles for the optimization of demand planning.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage and Update the monthly demand reports supporting the DM Supervisor
* Continuous improvement of the current reporting tools and solutions
* Support the Demand Management Supervisor in the centralization of the statistical forecast, managing different countries worldwide (monthly analysis of the statistical forecast)
* Support the DM Supervisor in innovation projects (ML algorithm for NPI, multivariate forecasting, time series clustering) that aim to reach a new maturity level in the statistical forecasting across Janssen
* Support the DM team for ad-hoc analysis
* Support DM in bringing innovation in Janssen Supply Chain
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science
* Skilled with statistical tools/computational software (R, Matlab) programming languages (not a specific language) and database.
* Experience to work in a business environment, with a preference for Supply Chain
* Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and capability to understand how this model can be applied in real business situations
* Be able to act as an interface between business and external tech consultant, representing the business during all phase of the projects
* Willing to learn
Non-Technical profile requirements:
- Some flexibility in working hours is required
- Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision;
- Quick learner, motivated self-starter;
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills;
- Able to follow change management for internal guidelines.
