Main tasks:
- Assume the Medical Affairs (MA) strategic lead for medical team(s) dedicated to special therapeutic area(s),this includes leading people and providing strategic guidance, as well collaboration with Life Cycle Leaders and other stakeholders in a matrix organisation for producing and execution of the medical strategy for the therapeutic area
- Responsible for appropriate resource planning in the teams to guarantee activities take place as planned, and within budget
- Responsible for delivery and maintenance of strategically aligned medical plans within therapeutic area (oncology, lung cancer experience
- Responsible for people management and development, as well as all other line manager responsibilities
- Personally responsible for acting in line with legal, regulatory and company standards and codes of practice
Main qualifications
- MD with sound clinical practice in the relevant therapeutic field (oncology, lung cancer)
- Additional business degree is preferred/desired
- Proven experience as a successful decisive leader in a strategic multifunctional environment
- Profound professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in development and/or medical affairs function at a regional or global level
- Experience as a leader with proven results in people management
- Strong knowledge of the overall drug development process and medical activities before and after launch
- Experience with developing and implementing global Phase II – IV studies
- Experienced track record of making decisions and aligning the organization behind them
- Experience of Key Opinion Leader partnership
- Strong leadership experience, broad scientific and therapeutic area expertise clear business understanding to identify and address the relevant medical needs of clinical practice, to successfully support the optimal use of products
