Our customer is looking asap for a category manager in the field of cloud services:- Reporting to the Head of Cloud Services and Connectivity
- Leading sourcing service delivery for global Cloud Services
- Responsible for delivery of high quality and cost-effective services from the Vendors in the sub-category
When leading sourcing projects, you will specify and collate demand as well as execute on vendor management activities. Developing service levels and quality processes will ensure efficient service delivery that meets or exceeds partner expectations. Adopting a risk-based focus you will ensure compliance with sourcing standards and procedures.

- implement strategies for sub-category by bringing market intelligence market trends / analysis
Taking the ownership for this IT sourcing sub-category, you will be recognized as the advisory lead across the company.
WHAT OUR CUSTOMER EXPECTS YOU TO:
- Be responsible for the bottom-up aggregation of all Cloud Services data across divisions and countries to inform the top-down target setting process, reconciling the "gaps" between bottom-up and top-down targets and identifying initiatives required to close any such disparities
- Build and execute Cloud Service Strategies and Plans, using resources from our global network of sourcing professionals as required
- Be accountable for the delivery of annual cloud financial savings targets
- Negotiate and execute major commercial and contractual terms and conditions with global vendors
- Actively collate and interpret data from multiple sources to provide valuable insights and advice to your business partners
- Seek and deliver continuous improvement in your sub-category including vendor consolidations, vendor innovations.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the broader IT and Data category operational strategy to drive efficiencies in the procure to pay process.
- Project lead or support Divisional IT Sourcing Programs as required
Skills:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in a science, technology or business administration. We have a strong preference for CIPS or similar professional qualification
- You have excellent command over the English language, another language is desirable
- Ideally, you have at least seven (7) years of IT Sourcing experience in insurance, re-insurance or financial services. With a minimum of five (5) years Category Management experience in Cloud Services working across multiple jurisdictions on high value contracts.
- You are a highly experienced in category, demand and vendor management.
- You possess well-developed communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to quickly establish trusted partner status.
- You possess very strong data analysis skills (collation, interpretation and insightful use of data)
- You have highly experienced and refined skills in defining and executing Category Strategies and associated Plans
- With your strong focus on the customer and excellent advisory skills, you are able to effectively collaborate with internal customers and external suppliers
- You demonstrate behaviors consistent with the client's imperatives focused on driving sustainable performance and continuous improvement
