Kafka Administrator
As a Kafka Admin resource should have overall IT experience of 8 years and possess knowledge and experience with the Installation and configuration of Kafka brokers and Kafka Managers. Experience with clustering and high availability configurations and knowledge of cloud is preferred.
Responsibilities
Great involvement in Apache Kafka Administrator/Operator is required.
Solid learning and involvement with the Installation and design of Kafka merchants and Kafka Managers.
Involvement with grouping/clustering and high volume systems.
Great involvement with Avro is required and Experience with high volume frameworks
Good experience with Java will include an advantage for this position.
Ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions
Evaluate, install and deploy changes including new applications, security patches and other changes through lower environments to minimize the likelihood of negatively impacting production availability-
Troubleshoot server configuration issues
Monitor production application stability and make recommendations to promptly address any trends which could impact availability of the systems for end users
Have worked on setting up CI-CD pipeline using open source tools and Devops tools
Have set-up monitoring tools (eg : Nagios) on-premise data center
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience as the primary systems Administrator of an Apache Kafka solution
General experience and knowledge of common issues associated with RHEL Servers and strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of cloud
Ability to work closely with developers' users to help resolve application configuration issues
Have handled data load into Big Data services on AWS or on-premise
Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving and communication skills
Scripting/Programming (Unix shell, Python, etc.) experience is strongly preferred
Good understanding of DevOps concepts
Good knowledge of RDBMS and No SQL databases
Financial services domain knowledge will be an added plus
