Senior Java Expert Developer - Remote position

On behalf of a leading pharmaceutical company in Switzerland, I am looking for a Senior Java Expert Developer. This is a remote contract position. If you are interested in this role, then please check the criteria below:
Your Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Backend development of the RTS platform
- Extension and improving the API to fit internal and external needs
- Ensure seamless and efficient Back End integration with our semantic database
- Improve the code quality with smart and sustainable automated testing strategies
- Participate in technical decision makings
- Proactively collaborate with a team comprising of informatics experts, software engineers and life science experts
What you must have:
- Sc in Computer Science or similar discipline
- +5 years professional Microservice Software development Expertise
- +3 years expertise in creation and usage of semantic data by using industry standard Java frameworks and triple stores (eg Jena)
- Good working knowledge of the SPARQL query language
- Extensive experience in test-driven software development
- Deep knowledge of SpringBoot
- Performance monitoring experience
- Strong working knowledge of best coding practices (TDD/BDD, pair-programming)
- Experience with continuous integration/delivery ecosystems (Jira, BitBucket, Jenkins)
- Strong analytical skills combined with conceptual thinking and structured working style
- Ability to work in a multicultural geographically distributed team
- Strong communication skills with fluent in English
Nice to haves:
- Experience with terminology management
- Experience with data standards
- Previous working experience within an AGILE environment (ideally SCRUM)
- Modelling skills
- DevOps experience

- Start date: ASAP
- End date: 31.12.2019 with extension possibilities
