Python Developer vacancy for our Basel based client in the banking sector.Your experience/skills:
- Profound background in Python v3.5+, Pandas, Pytest, Matplotlib as well as MS SQL Server 2016+, MS TFS 2017 and Git
- Experienced in test-driven development concepts and agile development methodologies such as Kanban
- Expertise in creating automated unit- and integration tests in compliance with using them as part of daily development work
- Basic knowledge of descriptive statistics coupled with front-end and back-end development experience
- Know-how of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Participating on a project for the migration of the reporting infrastructure on Pension Fund asset portfolios
- Designing and implementing an operational database solution orchestrated by Python to migrate the reporting infrastructure implemented in Excel
- Performing guided business related analysis in order to understand the business requirements of the final solution
- Developing a solution with an external calculation application and storage of data in a designed internal database, providing calculation transformations in Python as well as quality checks on the received data
