Data Visualization Engineer - Tableau

On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Data Visualization Engineer who has a proven track record in building dashboards and can focus on data sourcing and data integration for the dashboards.
Overview of the project:
- Joining the team who support and build solutions for data scientists
- Building dashboards to enable self-service for business users
- Primarily focussing on data sourcing and data integration tasks for the dashboards.
Main responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the business teams to understand data and functional requirements.
- Design and build data analysis dashboards for business stakeholders.
- Design and build data pipelines to ingest, integrate, standardise, clean and publish data for the dashboards.
- Configure data visualization tools to enable self-service for data analysts and business users.
Your skills:
- 5 years' experience as a Data Visualization specialist and a proven understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
- Good experience with Tableau - both desktop and server development and configuration
- Experience with Microsoft PowerBI and other data visualisation tools is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and Hadoop based SQL engines, eg Impala, Hive
- Experience in data sourcing and data integrating on Hadoop technology stack using Scala, Spark, Python and other languages
- Splunk experience is a plus
