DevOps Engineer
Experis is the global leader in professional resourcing and project-based workforce solutions.
On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer who has experience with Splunk administration and engineering.
Overview
You will be a member of the project team that aim to reengineer the Splunk Global log management system in to a more secure, accessible and functional platform by reengineering, designing, developing, testing and deploying infrastructures for data collection, aggregation and analysis.
Main responsibilities
- Gather and analyse requirements and design technical solutions based on those requirements
- Create test plans based on requirements
- Work with architects, engineers, business analysts and external consultants/vendors
- Develop configuration code and scripts as necessary for integration with other components, to fill gaps in the solutions or to automate manual tasks
- Build and test solutions in a pre-production environment
- Document test results, designs, and operational manuals for the solutions
- Provide third-level support to Production operations teams as necessary
Your skills:
- 3+ years hands-on experience in Splunk system administration and engineering
- 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer
- Programming experience Bash, Shell and ideally Python
- Experience in large, complex organisations
- Knowledge of the Scrum environment
