On behalf of our client, a leading bank, we are looking for a Data Integration Engineer in Zurich with proven experience and deep knowledge of MID Server Infrastructure and Perl Scripting. Overview of business area or project:
Resource will work on strategic programs for the Enterprise Services Department and the entire Chief Technology Office. Key deliveries are based on ServiceNow platform and its MidServer infrastructure and consists of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) with multiple automatic and semiautomatic integrations with various tools and applications.
Main responsibilities:
- You have an exciting opportunity to lead ServiceNow Data Integration Engineering stream including development and maintenance of ServiceNow MidServer infrastructure, executing changes & analysis of incidents and problem tickets
- Your role includes deep troubleshooting of complex issues down to code level
- In this open position, you have the responsibility to be a Subject Matter Expert & Lead Point of Contact for ETL data transformation scripts built in PERL
- You get the chance to become part of a specialized and highly motivated ServiceNow team and to build and maintain positive relationships with many different teams such as product owners, internal customers, application owners & vendors in order to identify solutions and drive positive change.
- You drive continuous service improvement initiatives including process optimization, automation via scripts and other innovations
- You support creation of DevOps tool chain interfaces with ServiceNow (namely ServiceNow Scripting parts)
- You deliver valuable input into the GCTO 2020 Strategy, which is building a complete set of end-to-end Services based on ServiceNow and various integrations via MidServer and cloud based orchestration tools.
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Sounds knowledge of MId Server infrastructure experience and ability to maintain it
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Servers administration
- Solid PERL Scripting experience
- Root cause analysis of complex problems
- You will act as technical lead for other engineers, provide technical support and guidance
- You bring experience in designing, deploying, and supporting automated ETL jobs for a variety of Data Source types
- You will support and maintain data import definitions and transform maps within ServiceNow
- You possess analytical & logical thinking skills as well as effective communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
- You are a self-starter, one who embraces change quickly and willing to participate in a highly collaborative environment
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Understanding of one of the programming languages like
- JavaScript
- AngularJS
- Java etc.
- webservers technologies like Apache
- Experience with ServiceNow MidServer setup
