For a project at our client ‘s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced
Splunk DevOps Engineer
The aim of this project is to reengineer some fundamental aspects of the large Splunk infrastructure like Redesign of the Splunk data indexing flow and index layout, providing improved performance and segregation of data etc.
Your Qualifications:
- 3+ years hands-on experience and excellent skills in Splunk system administration and engineering
- More than 3 years of automation in systems management, monitoring and testing
- Good knowledge in ETL process, data processing and configuration management
- Experience in user-facing process design and documentation
- Programming experience in Python and JavaScript
- Knowledge in Linux systems administration and engineering would be desired
- Experience in public cloud systems like Microsoft Azure is a plus
- Fluent in English
Your Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements and design technical solutions based on those requirements, for the Splunk Global Log Management platform
- Create test plans based on requirements
- Work with architects, engineers, business analysts and external connsultants/vendors to ensure proposed technical solutions are compatible within the banks environment
- Develop configuration code and scripts as necessary for integration with other components, to fill gaps in the solutions or to automate manual tasks
- Build and test solutions in a pre-production environment
- Document test results, designs, and operational manuals for the solutions
- Provide third-level support to Production operations teams as necessary
