Jr Developer : Python/ Java/C/C++/R / Matlab/ UNIX/Linux /Pharma/ GermanRole Purpose: Our client is looking for an experienced Software Developer in Basel location for a contract initially for 6 months with strong possibility of extension.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Responsible to implement signal processing and data analysis pipelines for processing large amounts of sensor data collected in clinical trials according to best coding practice.
- Modularize existing signal processing and data analysis pipelines to enable reuse of pipelines across clinical trials by a large team of scientists.
- Responsible for the documentation of code used in pipelines.
Technical Skills Must Have:
- Must have atleast 2+ years professional software development experience preferably one or more of the following programming languages like : Java, C/C++, R and Matlab.
- Should have a deep knowledge of Python
- Should have previous working experience with the common Python data analysis stack (e.g. NumPy/SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc).
- Must have strong working knowledge of best coding practices (versioning, TDD, debugging).
- Good experience in or eagerness to build ETL (extract, transform, load) data pipelines
- Should be familiar with the Atlassian suite (Confluence, Jira, BitBucket, Bamboo)
- Must have strong analytical skills combined with conceptual thinking and structured working style.
- Should have an ability to work in a multi-cultural team
Nice to Have :
- Good experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux internals and workload management systems (SLURM, SGE or UGE)
- Should have project-based work experience in the pharmaceutical industry/consulting
- Good experience with signal processing
Education: Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, engineering or related technical fields.
Languages:
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in German (Nice to Have)
