Preferred qualifications:
BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant technical field
Work experience in technical support, IT support, or similar role
Hands on experience of Unix/Linux systems
Good understanding and interest in computer systems, TVs, mobile devices and other tech products
Aptitude for problem-solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical skills needed to set up, diagnose, troubleshoot hardware and software systems
Commitment, focus, and follow-through needed to see problems through to resolution
Great written communication skills needed to prepare accurate, clear, and timely reports
Job Responsibilities:
Install and configure given technical hardware systems and applications, replace parts as required
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
Diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues, follow up with engineering teams for resolution
Follow written and verbal instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
Test and evaluate new technology, support the roll-out of new solutions
Help engineering teams prioritize and manage many open issues at one time
Follow standard procedures for providing hand-off reports of open issues to the internal teams
Communicate and document knowledge following given templates
