Credit Risk Business Analyst (Banking)

On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Credit Risk Business Analyst to work in the Risk Change department of the bank.
Overview of the project:
- The successful candidate will join as a business analyst working on the Country Risk project within the credit risk management in the Change function of a bank.
- This is a business-driven initiative to perform a comprehensive overhaul and replacement of the existing country risk measurement, monitoring and reporting framework at the bank and replace it with an improved, best practice framework.
Main responsibilities:
- Working as part of an international project team, to perform business analysis activities:
- Accessing and analysing data in credit risk systems
- Producing requirements documentation and specifications through proactive engagement with key stakeholders across the bank's investment banking and wealth management businesses
- Liaising with application-specific business analysts and IT teams to clarify requirements
- Acting as the only end to end project team member with access to Swiss client data required as part of the project
- Proactively identifying issues and proposing resolutions
- Supporting the project manager in maintaining budget discipline through careful attention to requirements/scope creep and implementation decisions, working in conjunction with the IT teams
- Preparing management level summary information, and facilitating working group discussions, on key topics
- Performing testing involving Swiss based applications and Swiss client identifying data
- Making a visible contribution as part of a small, flexible, highly driven team who will work with the many involved stakeholders to drive the project through to completion
Required skills:
- Over 7 years of Business analyst with experience in credit risk in a banking environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including at senior management level as well as with a variety of international stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Ability to prepare management level summary information and facilitate working group discussions
- IT skills: basic SQL query skills, basic Excel skills (pivot tables etc - macros not required), basic MS Office (Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong time management skills - organised and efficient, resilient under pressure
- Attention to detail
Highly beneficial:
- Already based in Switzerland
- Experience delivering change for management information (MI) reporting, especially in credit risk or country risk
- Experience related to measuring or monitoring country risk, especially within an investment banking/wealth management environment
