Clinical Data Programmer- SAS/statistical programmer/ GRAPH/ Electronic Data Capture /englishProject / Role:
For one of our clients we are looking for a Clinical Data Programmer. The role is a contract position for 12 months (with strong possibility of extension) close to Lucerne, Switzerland.
Main Tasks:
- The Clinical Data Programmer (CDP) will be in charge of performing SAS programming related tasks for assigned studies
* Under general guidance, develops and modifies SAS programs to analyse and evaluate clinical data along with assessing data accuracy and consistency and also to expedite data management activities
* The CDP may also act as Clinical Data Manager as needed and works closely with the Clinical Study Team in execution of the data management activities by monitoring the quality and timeliness of data management deliverables
* Perform SAS programming to provide complex listings/reports to support data management and data analysis
* Develops source and analysis datasets to support the analysis of clinical trials data
* Leads data discrepancy process within a study
* Reviews and provides input for CRFs, edit check specifications, and table mock-ups
* Reviews outputs to ensure consistency across programs within study
* Review, maintain, and approve study documents per standard procedures
Skills / Requirements:
2-3 years of experience as a statistical programmer in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics or medical device environment
Soft Skills:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Judgment skills to work accurately and efficiently toward quality result
* Fluent in both written and oral English (German is an advantage)
IT-Skills:
* Must have knowledge of Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS macros, and SAS/GRAPH.
Experience with relational databases and clinical trials is a plus
* Familiarity with statistical software and databases
* Familiarity with an Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system is an asset
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor degree in scientific discipline
Preferred: Master degree in scientific discipline
Candidate may be willing to travel in Europe (Germany) for 20% of his time
