System Engineer (m/f) 100% - BladeSystem / ProLiant / vSphere / Network / Storage / GermanRole:
For our customers we are looking for an experienced System Engineer with profound knowledge and practical experience in dealing with HPE hardware (BladeSystem C7000 / ProLiant Server) as well as storage and network technologies and associated surrounding systems (e.g. IPAM). In addition, a sound technical knowledge and practical experience in dealing with vSphere products (ESXi) is expected.
Areas of responsibility:
- Ensuring the operation of the virtualization platforms (Cloud and ESXi) as well as the handling of customer inquiries in connection with support services.
- Dispatcher tasks (editing support mailbox, troubleshooting and coordination with other specialist teams, maintenance of operational documentation)
- On-call service outside working hours and on weekends
- Creation of concepts and implementation of these for the expansion and adaptation of the virtualization and cloud platform (hardware and software)
- Hardware and software patching of the platforms according to the defined patch concepts (e.g. CS700)
- Collaboration in projects for the introduction of new or expanded cloud market services
Required profile / skills:
- You have sound specialist knowledge with at least 5 years of practical experience in handling HPE hardware (BladeSystem C7000 / ProLiant Server).
- You have at least 5 years of practical experience with VMware vSphere products (ESXi).
- You also have an advantageous knowledge of the HPE Helion Cloud Suite.
- You have knowledge in network technology (Layer 1-3).
- You have knowledge of storage technology (data and backup).
Language skills:
- German: mother tongue or at least very good knowledge
