Job Description:
Overview of business area or project:
Operational Taxes serves as a subject matter expert to various internal stakeholders in the area of the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) as well as other topics.
- Under FATCA, Swiss banks may in future be obliged to deliver supplemental FATCA reporting/account information and documentation to US authorities upon their request.
- In order to prepare for such a request, CS has launched a project to prepare the documentation files and FATCA reporting for accounts it anticipates may be included in such a request.
- The persons we are seeking for this role are needed to review and quality assure the prepared files for completeness and accuracy
Overview of the department/team (team size, backgrounds, personalities):
The Quality Assurance Reviewers will report to a FATCA subject matter expert within the Operational Taxes department. The overall project for preparation of the files is sponsored by tax operations. The project is managed by an external big 4 company with ca. a dozen employees dedicated to the project.
Candidate Value Proposition:
Quality Assurance is a sought after skill set. The candidate will become familiar with a broad spectrum of topics relevant to banking, such as: account opening forms, CDB documentation and FATCA forms. In addition, the candidate will gain experience working as part of a project with diverse stakeholders both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
Review documentation files as well as data delivery files for accuracy and completeness
Work in excel, XML and pdf to review and correct certain data entries, remediate and potentially support client outreach based on certain factors and perform certain business analysis
Helpful if candidate has experience working in documentation reviews/remediation
Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role:
Reviewing a large number of documents, working to targets and deadline as well as working efficiently
