Overview of business area or project:
Exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Engineer to join the Digital Workflows IT team in Zurich. Digital Workflows focuses on digitizing the life cycle of a customer relationship, with a state-of-the-art customer and user experience across three channels to increase efficiency and reduce the processing time front to back. The Digital Workflows Program has been selected as one of the SUB Trailblazer applications for the SUB Cloud initiative. To make this initiative a success, the DWF Platform teams needs to be ramped-up with specific, experts know-how and capacity
Key Responsibilities
- Work in a dynamic, agile environment with a very experienced and seasoned Scrum team
- Support a strategic program to move Legacy applications to the cloud and to leverage state of the art
- software delivery and deployment methods and technologies
- Collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, product owners and other team members
- Work effectively with team members in other locations situated globally
- Share the acquired knowledge and provide training to other team members
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's, or higher degree in technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry
- Knowledge and professional experience of enterprise application development, especially in the Java space
- Experience with deployment and adaptations of specialized vendor products
- DevOps experience including continuous deployment and environment management
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and inter-personal skills is a must to work with global teams & clients
- A good team player willing to contribute and learn
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Flexibility in dealing with off-hours/weekend support issues
- Flexible attitude to role specifics, must be willing to adapt to needs of the business, often at short notice
- Ability to work on multiple projects & tasks at once
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (professional proficiency)
