For a project at our client‘s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experiencedCompliance Analyst - SOX % (6153)
You will support the Swiss SOX 404 Compliance team which is responsible for establishing the framework to be applied across the Group to enable management to review, evaluate and conclude upon the effectiveness of internal control over financial reporting.
Your Qualifications:
• 7+ years' working experience in finance / internal control functions ideally within the banking industry
• Experience in an Operational Risk Control (financial reporting related), Internal Control or SOX 404 position with a strong background in internal controls
• Financial statement audit background preferably in big 4 firm would be preferred
• CPA designation would be a plus
• Ability to interact with management at all levels
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, V-Look up, no macros)
• Excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus
Your Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and lead the SOX 404 compliance program for the region Switzerland across PB, IB and Shared Services divisions, including Zurich-based global business functions
• Manage the annual SOX 404 process execution to ensure timely design and operating effectiveness testing and serve as the first point of contact for SOX 404 guidance
• Manage account/disclosure scoping process for Swiss entities to ensure adequate coverage of critical accounts and notes
• Partner closely with process owners to document new processes and controls to be brought in SOX scope and provide subject matter expertise on its design
• Perform financial statement issue assessments, support and challenge management in the remediation of SOX 404 issues
• Drive quality initiatives, front-to-back process reviews and change projects to improve the design quality of the bank’s internal control framework.
• Represent the Switzerland region in global SOX 404 calls
• Support semi-annual Swiss region roundtable held for business and operation risk team members
