Project Description:
IBM needs to refresh a customers server and storage hardware in 64 countries over the
coming 2-3 years for the global outsourcing contract (GMSA).
Task Description:
- 50% of his time the Wintel Architect/IT specialist will act on behalf of the Tech Refresh PM to assess and develop confirm the technical validity of the Catalog Request, and has the following responsibilities:
• To identify old wintel systems and conduct basic assessment
• To create the to be solution (standard hw refresh & hour RUs)
• To create the technical order sheets for Novartis
- 50% of his time the Wintel Architect/IT specialist will act on behalf of the SDM to confirm the technical validity of the Catalog Request, and has the following responsibilities:
• Evaluating simple Catalog Requests for technical validity and approve as appropriate.
• Engaging with SDM(s) and the technical subject matter experts from multi-towers to review complex Catalog Requests prior to approving or rejecting Catalog Requests.
• Alerting the relevant SDM(s) to Catalog Requests that concern them.
• Coordinating with the Capacity Manager to ensure that he is aware of the volume, type and location of incoming requests.
• Contacting the Novartis Requester for additional information if necessary.
• Calculating the SLO date.
• Participating in the joint review of catalogue orders together with the customer
• Provide daily update on status of orders in technical review.
• Orders needs to be approved
Skills:
. good English
• wintel architect/IT specialist
• wide technical background (understanding of wintel, unix, storage, DB, etc.)
• good communication skills
. German would be nice to have
Utilisation:
100%, 5 days per week
