- Shift coverage 7x24 All team members have the same responsibilities within shift operation or role. Special know how will be shared within the team
- Operate and monitor the functionality of the 240 core applications, middleware, databases and operating systems (Unix, Linux and Windows)
- Full operational responsibility of all storage components like centralized disk-subsystems, tape environments and SAN-components
- Responsible for E2E availability and performance
- Acting as Single point of Contact
- Escalation within the scope of Problem and Incident Mgmt.
- Grant physical access to the building for engineering and 3rd party technicians
- Collation and upgrading of information / procedures and administrating the knowledge databases
- approval of fire calls (grand access for Wintel server within GAD)
- verification of backups / failed etc.
- Administer mailbox, ticketing tool
- Blackberry Monitoring
- BUS activities / start stop of applications
- Check / track "acknowledged Events" in ITM
- Check all SAP-OFFLINE-Backups if there is a hanging session / overrun in time
- Check cleaning tapes (IBM & STK)
- Check every day if UFO tapes are in the STK libraries!
- Check failed SAP-Backups
- Check the CPU Usage on all Systems and UM-Agent check on b0d07102 (Traffic / Total Packets In - Out)
- CICS GP20 transaction monitoring during CICS start
- CICS transaction termination in case of a Loop
- Control of the locked drives in ACSLS
- File system monitoring
- updating of filter files, input files
- determinate HW issues
- Reporting in different DB's
- Incident Mgmt. - activate situation mgt within given timeline and inform them about
- needed responsible engineering and business
- Lotus Domino Monitoring
- manual checks for new applications
- MARS monitoring
- PW Handling for AIS and Solaris
- restore files from backup
- SAN Handling (Switch, Disk subsystem)
- SPOC for business requests e.g. restarts, reboots, etc
- start and stop services upon request
- Tape Environment (Library / Drive Handling / STK / TSM)
- Tape Handling (Enter / Reject / STK / FileNet)
- Access request to the Data-Centre from technicians
- Tools Handling (HACMP, Vertas, Terminal Concentrator, Xen)
- Tools Handling (Trouble Ticket, Peregrine, HP)
- Daily report tracking -> Pendings
- Tracking -> Task (check "Track Entries" in TR (update entries at least every week))
- Tracking -> Temp. Settings
- logs delivering for engineering
- SQL Server monitoring
