German speaking IT Application Specialist (banking)

On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for an IT Application Manager with banking experience.
Overview of the project:
- The successful candidate will strengthen the existing IT Integration Team, covering a wide range of topics on Advisory services, supporting global rollout of Digital advisory tool and further tool enhancements.
- The person is involved in projects deliveries in order to ensure the new solutions do match the production quality standards and that new solutions are in line with Team, application and Bank strategy.
Main responsibilities:
- 2nd/3rd level support for applications (incident analysis and resolution)
- Lifecycle management
- Support release introductions
- Perform re-occurring maintenance tasks wherever necessary (eg data loads, regular check of IT logfiles, provide statistics related to the application)
- Proactive planning and measures definition
- Experience with requirements engineering, translation of business requirements into IT solution design
- Automated recurring tasks
- Handover tasks to operation 1st/2nd level
The skills and experience needed for these positions are:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent understanding of MS SQL
- Good knowledge in MS .NET an advance
- Very good understanding of software development/customization processes
- Experience in application management
- Experience in 2nd/3rd level support
- Capability to analyze complex and poorly defined problems related to the application and to provide solutions with minimal guidance from the superiors
- Knowledge in financial sector resp. specific business knowledge is a plus
- Experience in Agile project methods
