Infrastructure Lead Architect wanted for our Switzerland based client in the technology sector.
Your experience/skills:
- 12+ years' working experience in the infrastructure field with practice in Datacentre computer technologies, such as HP, VCE, Dell, Cisco and IBM Servers with x86
- Profound background in Server virtualisation with one or more virtualisation products using Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESX and RHVL
- Skillset in Operating System, including Windows , Win 7/10, Redhat 6/7/x and Ubuntu/CentOS as well as Hybrid Cloud management platform using VMware vRealise Suite or Azure pack and System Centre Suite
- Competency of Cloud application assessment and migration to public cloud using various tools along with Storage & Backup, Databases and Network and Security (L3 and L2 networking, WAN/LAN/WLAN, NAC/.1x etc.)
- Confidence in Core Infrastructure services, such as Active Directory and DNS/DHCP as well as Terminal services, such as MS RDS Gateway and RDP along with high availability cluster features in Wintel, storage and databases within datacentre and datacentres distributed geographically
- Proven skills in dealing with suppliers along with excellent stakeholder management skills and leadership experience in design and implementation of significant infrastructure transformation projects
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Leading large-scale Transformation programs with implementing and running internal architectural governance as well as defining Solution blueprints, conducting the development of high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documents by collaborating with Technical architects and Subject matter experts
- Approving Solution Architecture and Solution Design for complete infrastructure solutions in areas like Digital Workplace and Software Defined Datacentre
- Ensuring that infrastructure solutions make the most efficient use of resources, technical and people
- Engaging with support teams to create change within the transformation program organisation as well as helping to achieve best practice and to ensure infrastructure, support deliverables and components are consistent with agreed designs and address applicable risk and security considerations
- Providing training and coaching of individuals, where necessary in developing solutions and services
