For a long-term project at our client ‘s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for aSenior Credit Risk Business Analyst - US GAAP Impairment / IFRS )
In this project, work will need to be done on the US & Swiss Banking GAAP Impairment Project, a group-wide project with the objective of ensuring the bank's compliance with the revised accounting standards from 1st of January 2020.
Your Qualifications:
• 10+ years experience as Business Analyst ideally some years within Wealth Management organizations
• Track record in regulatory change/impairment project (IFRS 9, US GAAP) within a large bank
• Excellent understanding of credit risk from a reporting and workflow perspective (proficient understanding of front to back systems, data, processes and current regulatory requirements for credit risk functions in an international setting)
• Experience in designing operating models, processes and control functions
• Understanding IT technology and strong data analysis, gap analysis, and data validation skills
• Well versed in embedding new risk management systems in a complex organization
• Must be able to communicate business concepts and proposals with a clear and concise manner both on operational and senior stakeholder level
• Fluent in English, German would be an asset
Your Responsibilities:
• Representation in the group-wide project, ensure that requirements are met and deliverables successfully delivered
• Design of the E2E BAU US & Swiss Banking GAAP impairment business process from a Credit Risk Management / International WM perspective coordinating with several SMEs covering several lending products and locations
• Identify best practice and lessons learned from FAS 5 and IFRS 9 to help deliver a streamlined and efficient business process
• Work closely with relevant SMEs to understand any local (regulatory) requirements and to ensure these are addressed in the overall Business Requirements Documents and in the E2E business process
• Identify risk attributes and data fields including sourcing with a target to minimize manual tasks
• Design, coordinate and get involved in UAT and parallel run testing activities
• Support drafting of new/updated procedures & manuals from a Credit Risk Management perspective
• Support transition into BAU covering resourcing discussion, documentation, and training.
• Identify, analyze and mitigate risks and issues impacting project delivery
• Provide updates to key stakeholders, including senior management
